Yes, in fact hereUare Connected is designed so that you can make and receive calls to and from anywhere in the world - free. All you need is an Internet connection and your computer. You can also receive calls to your hereUare Connected IP phone number while you are traveling domestically and internationally. As an added convenience, you can also forward your hereUare Connected number to your mobile phone or regular phone wherever you are by going to our online account management tool after you have activated your hereUare Connected account.
Using a conventional phone, dial a DID number that is local to your area. Upon hearing the second dial tone, dial the hereUare Connected IP Phone number you are trying to reach. There is no cost to use our DID numbers. Please see our regularly updated list of currently available DID local access numbers.
A Direct Inward Dialing number, or DID number, allows non-hereUare Connected users to use the old Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) by using their conventional phone or mobile phone to dial into a "gateway" which then routes the call to the hereUare Connected VoIP network. Once the caller hears a second dial tone it means they're connected to the VoIP network and they can then dial the number of the hereUare Connected user they are trying to reach.
To receive a call from a non-hereUare Connected caller, have them dial the DID (Direct Inward Dialing) number, wait for the second tone, and then dial the hereUare Connected IP phone number. This will connect them to your IP phone.
hereUare Connected is not a replacement service for your conventional phone, and so does not have emergency 911 services. Please use a conventional telephone to call for emergency assistance. hereUare Connected is an Internet-based calling service designed to save you money and make calls using a computer and an Internet connection.
No, you will not receive any unsolicited telemarketing calls over your hereUare Connected phone, because you decide who has your IP phone number - and hereUare is committed to your privacy. We will only give your IP phone number to a third party upon your request and will not give it to any third party or affiliate without your permission.
Yes - in fact, you should keep your current home phone. hereUare Connected is designed to save you money and provide unrivaled convenience for calling all over the world - any time, any place. hereUare Connected is not designed to replace your existing service. Please note that hereUare Connected encourages you to keep your home phone for emergency 911 services.
You will have to include the three-digit area code when dialing all traditional phone numbers in the United States and Canada, including ones within your area code: 1+area code + seven-digit number, for a total of 11 digits. You can also make calls from your hereUare Connected directory by storing your contacts. After you've added your contacts, simply find the person you're looking for in your directory and click on that number. hereUare Connected's Softphone client will dial for you. It's that easy.
To dial to or from International locations, you must dial 011 + country code + city code + phone number (from the US and Canada), or dial 00 + country code +city code + phone number (from all other countries.)
If your hereUare-purchased USB phone is not working, hereUare will replace the USB phone. You can use the speaker on your computer as well to have conversations, so you should have no interruption of your valued hereUare Connected service.
If your Internet connection is not working, please contact your ISP, cable, or DSL provider. You should not have to call your local phone company unless they happen to be your high-speed Internet provider.
No. Once you download the hereUare Connected Softphone client and you have activated your account, all you require is a connection to the Internet. You may purchase a USB phone or headset, which are inexpensive and make calling from your computer more convenient. You may purchase a USB phone from hereUare Connected directly by contacting customer service or through one of our distributors or retailers. Check back often for an updated list of retail outlets in your area.
Currently, you may use a debit card or credit card to recharge your account online. In some cases, you may be able to purchase a "recharge card" from a retailer, such as an Internet cafe in your area and then utilize the online account management tool to recharge your account. Cash payments and check payments are currently not accepted directly by hereUare Connected, however, we're improving our service all the time, so check back often to see what's new.
Yes - hereUare Connected encrypts all credit card information and payment processing is also done over a secure system. We will never give your credit card information to any third party and your IP address will be automatically recorded with each transaction. All fraudulent activities will be reported to the proper authorities.
Further, you hereUare Connected requires you to enter the 3-digit security code that appears on the back of your Visa, Master Card or Discover Card or enter the 4-digit security code that appears on the upper right hand corner of your American Express Card.

When you register your account, you will be asked for a simple security question and answer. Simply click on the prompt for "Forgotten Password" on the account information page, and follow the simple instructions.

You will then see a button for "caller display" - click the "configure" button and follow the simple instructions. You can choose to display your IP phone number to your callers or opt to hide the number when making calls. You may change this option whenever you'd like with this convenient feature.

Remember to change this option when you're back at your computer with access to an Internet connection.
On your hereUare Softphone click the "options" button. Under the "general options" section you can check the box for "Do not Disturb". Remember to go and un-check the box when you're ready to receive calls again.
